Delden Garage Doors
Quick Comparison Guide
Delden Garage Doors has been in business since 1964 in America's heartland. They manufacture high quality, residential and commercial overhead sectional garage doors in steel, as well as custom wood designs. They currently have 150 employees and eight manufacturing facilities in Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Delden also has installation companies in Kansas City, St. Louis, and Springfield MO.
Here is a quick comparison of their different residential models:
Classica Collection – These are Delden's top of the line carriage house style doors. They are 2" thick with 24 gauge steel outer panels. The Classica model comes with vinyl backed polystyrene insulation and an R5.65 insulation value. There are four basic styles with eight different window options. They come with a white finish but can be painted any color to match your home.
Vintage Plus - Their more affordable carriage house style. 2" thick, with 25 gauge steel, vinyl-backed polystyrene insulation, R6.84. There are 3 basic styles and three colors available.
Delcraft DC 200 Plus - Available in either raised panel or flush style models. 2" thick, with 24 gauge steel, polystyrene insulation and a steel inner layer, R8.34. There are six different colors, and this model has a lifetime warranty.
Delcraft DC 138 Plus - Similar to the DC 200 Plus, but 1-3/8" thick with R5.73 insulation value. Lifetime warranty.
DTR-1748 - Raised panel design with triple layer construction. 2" thick, 25 gauge steel on the outside and 27 gauge inside. These have polyurethane insulation, with the highest R value of all the Delden garage doors, at R15.67. They come in four colors and have a lifetime warranty.
Ovation OV-25 Plus - "Shadow line" design that is similar to a raised panel style. 25 gauge steel, three color options, and insulation options are available. 10 year warranty.
Prestige PR-24 Plus - Colonial style, similar to Ovation model. 24 gauge steel, three color options, with insulation options available. Lifetime warranty.
Custom Wood Doors - Delden manufactures five basic styles of wooden garage doors. They can be ordered with a stain grade surface or primed and ready for paint. Cedar is the standard species of wood, but almost any species of wood can be ordered.
Most of their wooden models have a styrene-insulated subpanel which adds to the strength of the door. They also make conventional stile and rail design wooden garage doors, and custom sizes are available for non-standard door openings.
Delden uses a single glass panel for their windows, with three different designs of removable inserts (except the Classica, which has eight different options available). The removable inserts make it easy to clean the windows, and you can even change the look of the door by installing a different style insert. However, the single panel means that a break requires replacing the whole piece of glass instead of just one pane.
